Taste of Lawrence – Shawarma Showdown

Who makes the best shawarma in Scarborough? We're on a mission to find out at this year’s Taste of Lawrence festival! Join the competition for a chance to be crowned the Best Shawarma in Scarborough — with prizes for both the winner and runner-up!

How to Enter:

Fill out our application form to reserve your spot (request it by emailing info@kandymedia.ca). Set your own prices and sell your delicious shawarma, drinks, or other items all day long! Regular fees for a 10x10 Food booth apply, equipment will be provided for you.

What’s Included:

• 10x10 vendor space in our Showdown area

• 10x10 tent

• Two 6-ft tables

• Two chairs

• One 15-amp power connection

• Custom banner with your logo, address, and website

• Featured listing on our website, social media, and media promotions

Requirements:

• Must be a registered restaurant business based in Scarborough

• Must pass a Toronto Public Health inspection on site

Judging Process

A panel of local chefs, food bloggers, and sponsors will conduct a blind tasting and score each entry privately. Final scores will determine the winner and runner-up.
