The City of Toronto wants to engage you in the design of Safe TO!

The City of Toronto wants to engage with the business community on the design of SafeTO initiative . The email below along with the attachment provides some background information for you.

SafeTO is the City of Toronto’s Community Safety and Wellbeing (CSWB) Plan, which is currently being developed in line with the Ontario Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019.

While there is no one single definition of community safety and well-being, research suggests it is affected by a host of social, economic, political, safety/security and health factors.

As part of the City’s engagement for Safe TO, they want to ensure that the voice of the business community is heard and that the impact of economic factors specifically is considered in enhancing Community safety and Well-being in the City.

To that end, they are planning to conduct a series of one-on-one interviews with business owners, property owners as well as BIA management and Boards to understand CSWB through an economic and business lens.

Interviews will be conducted in late February and early March, and the deadline for expressing an interest and willingness to be interviewed is Tuesday February 23, 2021.
