Dear Friends,
I am proud to be the Chair of a very active Business Improvement Area. Our members are very dedicated to this area and continually working towards its improvement and promotion. We want people in The Greater Toronto Area to know this vibrant community and pay us a visit.
Over the year we are hard at work in planning a number of events and street beautification projects all designed to make our areas safer and create a pleasant environment to live, work and play. I am happy that we have our local Councillor, Michael Thompson, who has been instrumental in establishing our BIA. He as much as our board members works continuously to bring improvement to the Wexford Area.
Our BIA is young (Established in 2004) but we have already made our area known to the rest of The Greater Toronto Area. We have a highly successful event in The Taste of Lawrence Festival and our board is active in planning other events and activities that will showcase this area with our unique multi-cultural make-up for local residents and visitors alike. From time-to-time I will be updating my letter to provide updates on our board activities and new initiatives that will be taking place in The Wexford Area.
